In the familiar form of a technological demonstration, a space unfolds where discourse on innovation and human presence respond to each other in an unsettling proximity.
Pierre Gosée
Between professional credibility and slight strangeness, the performer plays with the codes of presentation, proof and efficiency to raise discreet doubts about what is really changing before our eyes.
The device thus creates tension between the promise of improvement and a shift towards standardisation of gestures and attitudes. It raises a simple but persistent question: how far are we willing to adjust our behaviour to match the image expected of us?
Pierre Gosée (he, him) is a visual artist and designer based in Belgium. His work combines performance and installation, subverting the codes of communication and technological demonstration to question our relationship with progress. He holds a master’s degree in Image in the Environment from ARTS² and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Art from the Haute École Condorcet. He is developing the Kayou Group universe, a group of fictional companies that serve as a narrative framework for projects combining design, satire and fiction.
