Dialogue is at the heart of Olivia Hernaïz’s practice. Her projects serve as opportunities to engage in conversations with others. Addressing the underrepresentation of women and gender minorities in the art world, the board game Art & My Career showcases various artistic careers in the Western world.

From artists to museum curators, how do women carve out a place for themselves in this field? The game L’Art & Ma Carrière invites you to follow in their footsteps in order to better understand their working conditions and
The game is intended for women, men, and anyone concerned with the dominance of patriarchy within the art world ecosystem. It will be followed by a collective discussion, allowing all players to share their experiences. Both the gaming sessions and the discussion will be facilitated by mediators and the artist herself.
Olivia Hernaïz (she, her) is a Belgian Spanish artist born in 1985. She lives in Brussels. After studying law in Belgium and Argentina, she obtained a master’s degree in fine arts from Goldsmiths in London in 2016 and completed a postgraduate program at HISK in Ghent in 2022.
Her recent exhibitions include: Silencio, ISELP, Brussels (2024), Hérétiques, CWB, Paris (2023), The Seashore of Endless Worlds, Le Commun, Geneva (2023), Beste Kunstwereld, Lichtekooi, Antwerp (2021), All About You, The Koppel Project, London (2019). Her works are part of public collections such as Mu.ZEE in Ostend, M Leuven, and KANAL – Centre Pompidou (Library).
