Sometimes I go back there in dreams,
Awake or asleep, either way
Especially when I feel bad
I reassure myself by imagining it immortal
Like the lake, the mountains, or the wind
Which are not immortal at all
My region, I dedicate this poem to you
I also dedicate it to myself a little
Since I don’t know where you end and I begin
Plume Ducret
In “Les Lacustres,” a very large sheet of paper represents the regions dear to the hearts of the two performers. Oscillating between joy and mourning, “Les Lacustres” is a journey that knows how to use the magic of simplicity and draws its strength from vulnerability and absurd humor.
Plume Ducret (she/he/they) is a performance artist who grew up on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel in Switzerland. They work across disciplines, focusing on the body and the social pressures that shape it. With a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from HEAD and a master’s degree in choreography from INSAS, their eclectic career path combines vocal sound art with the embodiment of mysterious figures. Through their work, they hope to bring relief, empowerment, and hope to their audience.
