If this body is made up of more non-human cells than human, -Who speaks to Who from Where ?
This ecosystem, this process of becoming I call “my body”,
As I shift the identification of self to encompass that larger self, beyond skin, how does that change direction, priorities, worlds?
As we realize how borders of skin is a crude simplification of how to define a Being, seeing the porous nature of existence, how environment is part of self, then who speaks to who from where?
If consciousness permeates all of existence, speaking of outside or inside the vehicle becomes obsolete?
gustaf broms (b. 1966) works in the borderlands between performance, video and installation. Lives and works in the Vendel forest. A practice engaged with the exploration of a language beyond tongue, using a body as anchor in a shifting landscape. To explore the ephemeral fragments of Being, between mind and matter.
