The Cypriot performer, who never ceases to deconstruct the clichés of masculinity, takes an icon of the male figure in Belgium, namely, Magritte’s paintings as a starting point. Outwardly, simple and aesthetic, yet complex or even dizzying in their multiple meanings.
PASHIAS has presented performances and solo exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece while frequently participating in group exhibitions and international festivals. More specifically, he has collaborated with cultural organizations such as the Marina Abramovic Institute, the Estonia Contemporary Art Museum, the Institut supérieur des Beaux-Arts in Besançon, la Biennale méditerranéenne d’art contemporain and the Festival international d’art in Toulouse. In 2013, PASHIAS co-founded Epitelesis – Performance Art Foundation, an international platform for supporting cultural activities.
